My tool is Nikon D7000. My main subject is abstract macro photophraphy. I capture objects/images/moments which are often missed by the casual viewer. The focus of most of my photographs lies beyond the “apparent” object I capture. Images that are not in the foreground, but make a fleeting ‘appearance’, unobtrusive and delicate in the shadow or light of the actual subject. They are moments of light, streams of light captured as an indication to the fleeting nature of that which cannot be held onto. Some photographs resemble abstract paintings full of tension, whilst others appear very three-dimensional due to the way the light falls.
my portfolio also incorporates the moon, capturing its changing phases, pathways across the sky and interactions with cloud formations.
Meine Kamera ist eine Nikon D7000, mein Hauptthema ist abstrakte Makrofotografie. Es sind “split-second” Aufnahmen. Augenblicke welche nicht wiederholt werden können. Der Schwerpunkt der Aufnahmen liegt jenseits der „scheinbaren“ Objekte, Bilder welche nicht im Vordergrund zu sehen sind sondern sehr unauffällig und zart im Schatten oder Licht des eigentlichen Objekts nur kurz „ihren Auftritt“ haben. Es sind Lichtmomente, Lichtströme als festgehaltener Hinweis auf Flüchtiges, das sich nicht festhalten lässt. Einige Aufnahmen gleichen abstrakten Gemälden voller Spannung, andere wirken durch den Einfall des Lichtes sehr plastisch.
In meinem Portfolio spielt der Mond auch eine wichtige Rolle: Ich halte seine wechselnden Phasen, seinen Weg über den Himmel und sein Zusammenspiel mit Wolkenformationen fest.

Interests:
My garden is my pride and joy. I spend a lot of time grooming and cultivating it. It’s my “little paradise”. Bicycle riding as well as hiking are other passions of mine, it’s a unique feeling of freedom wherever I am going. It also helps me to stay fit :)
Music:
Music is a part of my life. Not that I play an instrument, I just could not imagine a day without music. I listen to different music depending on my mood. John Butler Trio and Faithless are my favourites at the moment.
Books:
I have a wide ranging interest. There is always a book on my bedside table.
Games:
… how dull would the world be without Scrabble :) “Siedler” is also one of my favourite games as well as “die Tore der Welt”.
